Atlanta-based artist 1K Phew has emerged as a powerful voice in Gospel Rap, known for blending Southern rap with faith-centered messages. In 2023, he toured with Aha Gazelle, Jon Keith, and 1K Pson for his 15-city The Pray Tour. Following the release of his 2024 album Pray For Atlanta, he has solidified his place as a genre-defining talent, known for his smooth delivery, captivating personality, and the authenticity of his Atlanta-inspired sound. The 9-track project includes fan favorites like “Let Go Let God.” To double down on his efforts, 1K Phew also released Let Go Let God: The EP featuring seven different versions of the lauded single – with “Let Go Let God (The Anthem)” feat. KB & Hulvey amassing over 2.8M streams.
A major milestone in 1K Phew’s career was his collaborative album with Lecrae, No Church In a While, which expanded his reach and won the coveted Rap/Hip-Hop Gospel Album of the Year Award at the 53rd Annual GMA Dove Awards. His talent has been further recognized with a Stellar Award win, honoring his contributions to Christian music. 1K Phew has also worked with iconic hip-hop producers Zaytoven and Metro Boomin, bringing a unique blend of street influence and spirituality to his sound. He continued fortifying his catalog with a steady stream of releases, including “Aretha,” “Yet,” and “MOVE IT!” – the official remix to his viral collaboration with Lecrae. The buzz generated from the original version traveled online, eventually leading to a viral dance trend by Brotherhood Dance Crew, culminating in over 10K creates on TikTok and averaging more than 95K streams per day. It’s also worth noting that “Move” was the only rap record featured on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart – peaking at #47.
